PHR is not medical advice; check anything important with your doctor.

IN SHORT: Your health information stays on your phone, encrypted. PHR has no account, no server, no ads, no analytics, and it does not have permission to use the internet. We never receive your data.

PHR offers a monthly subscription with a free trial, or a one-year purchase; payment is handled by Google Play.

What PHR is

PHR helps you keep your own health records in one place: lab results, conditions, medications, allergies, vaccines, care team, insurance, implants, procedures, imaging, documents and photos. It also shows trends from the readings you add or import.

What information PHR handles

Only what you put in or choose to import:

- Records you type in, such as allergies, medications, conditions, blood type, providers and insurance details.

- Documents and photos you import (PDFs, pictures of lab reports, insurance cards, implant cards). Text is read from them on your phone to fill in results and card details for you to review. Nothing is uploaded.

- Health Connect data, if you connect it. You choose which kinds of data PHR may read: steps, heart rate, resting heart rate, weight, blood pressure, body temperature, oxygen saturation, blood glucose, sleep and exercise sessions. PHR only reads; it never writes to or changes Health Connect.

- A contact you pick, if you use "Import from Contacts" when adding to your care team or emergency contacts. When you tap it, Android asks whether to allow PHR to access your contacts. If you allow, PHR reads only the one contact you choose (its name, phone numbers, email, company, address and website) to fill in the form for you to check. It does not read, copy or keep any other contact, and nothing is sent anywhere. If you decline, PHR uses Android's number picker instead and receives only the name and the one number you tap.

- Reminders you create (title, date, repeat). They are scheduled on your phone.

Where it is stored and how it is protected

- All of it is stored only on your phone. PHR has no servers and no cloud copy.

- The database is encrypted (AES-256). Documents and photos are stored encrypted. The keys are protected by the Android Keystore, so they stay on this phone.

- You can turn on a fingerprint, face or screen-lock requirement to open the app.

- In the released app, screenshots, screen recording and the recent-apps preview are blocked so your records are not captured.

- PHR is excluded from Android cloud backup and phone-to-phone transfer, so your records are not copied anywhere automatically.

Sharing

PHR does not share your information with anyone. It does not sell it, rent it, use it for advertising, or send it to us or any third party. The app does not request the internet permission, so it has no way to send your data over the network.

The only way data leaves your phone is if you make it leave: for example, by creating an encrypted backup file and saving it somewhere, or by sharing a document or a health summary with another app.

Health Connect: Limited Use

PHR's use and transfer of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Google Play User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Specifically, data from Health Connect is used only to show it to you inside PHR; it is not transferred to anyone, not used for advertising or to determine credit or insurance eligibility, and not read by people (we have no access to it). You can change or remove PHR's access at any time in Health Connect settings, and delete imported readings inside PHR.

Permissions PHR asks for

- Notifications: to show your reminders.

- Receive boot completed: to set your reminders again after the phone restarts.

- Biometric / screen lock: for the optional app lock.

- Contacts (optional): asked only when you tap "Import from Contacts", to read the one contact you pick. The app works fully without it.

- Billing (Google Play): so PHR can ask Google Play whether your subscription is active. It is not used for anything else.

- Microphone (optional): asked only when you tap the microphone button in Ask PHR to ask by voice. The app works fully without it.

- Health Connect read permissions: only the kinds of data listed above, only when you allow them.

When you take a picture, PHR uses your phone's camera app and receives only the photo you keep; PHR itself does not hold the camera permission.

Subscription (PHR Premium)

PHR offers a monthly subscription (with a free trial) and a one-year purchase that does not renew. The trial, the payment and any renewals are handled entirely by Google Play.

- Payment is handled by Google Play. PHR never sees your card, your name, your email address or any other payment detail.

- What PHR learns: only whether your subscription is active. The Google Play Store app on your phone tells PHR this. PHR does not send it anywhere, and it does not link it to your records.

- Trial and renewal: before you pay, the app shows the price, the length of any free trial, and whether the plan renews. The monthly plan renews automatically until you cancel. The one-year plan is a single payment and does not renew.

- Cancel the monthly plan any time in Google Play (Play Store, your profile, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions), or with the Manage button in PHR.

- Your records stay yours. If your trial, subscription or one-year period ends, PHR does not delete anything. Your records stay on your phone, and you can always make an encrypted backup of them, even without a subscription. The rest of the app stays locked until you subscribe again.

Ask PHR (on-device assistant)

Ask PHR lets you ask questions about your own records in plain language. It runs on your phone using Google's on-device Gemini Nano model through Android's AICore. It is available only on phones that support that model.

- Nothing is sent to us or to an AI service. Your question and the parts of your records needed to answer it are processed on your phone. PHR has no server, and it does not request the internet permission.

- The model download is done by Android, not by PHR. The first time you use Ask PHR, Android may ask to download Google's on-device model. That download is handled by Google's system components, and no records or questions are part of it.

- Asking by voice stays on your phone. If you tap the microphone button, your speech is turned into text by your phone's on-device speech recognition. The audio is not sent to us or anyone else, and it is not saved. The microphone button appears only on phones that can do this on-device, and PHR never uses an online speech service.

- Your conversation is not saved to your records. It is kept only while you are using the screen.

- It can be wrong. Answers are generated by an AI model and may be incomplete or mistaken. Ask

PHR is not medical advice; check anything important with your doctor.

Health summary (PDF)

You can create a "Personal Health Summary" PDF from your records. It is made on your phone and kept only temporarily in PHR's private storage. It is deleted before each new summary is made and every time the app starts. You choose whether to share it, and with which app, through Android's share sheet. Once you send it to another app or person, that app's or person's own privacy practices apply to the copy they receive.

Encrypted backups

You can create a backup file locked with a password you choose. PHR cannot open it without that password and cannot recover a lost password. Keep the file and the password somewhere safe.

Keeping and deleting your data

- Delete any record, reading, document or photo inside the app.

- Uninstalling PHR deletes everything it stored on your phone. Because there is no cloud copy, this cannot be undone unless you made a backup.

- Health Connect data stays in Health Connect; manage or delete it there.

PHR is not medical advice; check anything important with your doctor.

Children

PHR is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. We do not collect information from anyone.

Not medical advice

PHR is a record-keeping tool. It does not diagnose, treat or recommend anything. Always check with your doctor before making medical decisions.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Any change that would let PHR collect or share data would also be explained inside the app.
